  1. My all-time favorite author is Francine Rivers. She is a Christian Inspirational writer. Her books give you an inside glimpse of what an intimate relationship with Jesus is like. Full of realistic life circumstances and loaded with personal advice and encouragement reading Rivers is like having a dear friend to tea. Redeeming Love, based on the Bible book Hosea, was a three-time read. Leota's Garden held many healing-of-the-heart moments for me. Just two of her many great works of art.
    Other titles:
    The Last Sin Eater
    The Scarlet Thread
    The Atonement Child
    The Shoe Box

The Mark of the Lion trilogy:
    A Voice in the Wind
    An Echo in the Darkness
    As Sure as the Dawn

    Novellas based on Biblical Women:
    Unveiled
    Unashamed
    Unshaken
    Unspoken
    Unafraid
Francine Rivers had a successful writing career in the general market & won many awards from 1976-1985. After becoming a born-again Christian in 1986, Francine wrote her statement of faith through Redeeming Love.
Francine has continued to earn both industry acclaim and reader loyalty, including the prestigious romance Writers of America Rita Award.
Francine says she used her writing to draw closer to God, praising & worshiping Him. Let your heart find the same joy. Get your cozy chair and cocoa, tea, or cafe latte and relax with who is sure to become a new friend.

  2. Did you like The Little House on the Prairie books as a youth? Then you are sure to like Janette Oke (pronounced Oak). I like to describe her books as 'The grown-up version of the Little House books'. Several of her novels have been made into t.v. movies and can be found through your local library.
Check out this Gold Medallion Award for fiction recipient for a good hot bath companion. Don't forget to light the candle!
